Still Tighter Capacity Expected in the Truckload Market - June 30, 2011
According to a recent survey by Wolfe Trahan, shippers expect truckload capacity to tighten even further over the next year.  Shippers believe LTL capacity will be more stable.  The survey found that 77% of shippers expect truckload capacity to get tighter, the highest percentage since 2004, the equity research firm said.  On average, shippers surveyed expected their transportation budgets to rise 9% over the next year as tight truck capacity creates higher rates across modes.
